  • A Study Abroad Student’s Visa Checklist

At this day and age when foreign degrees for both undergraduate students, as well as for students with a decade or more years of experience, are extremely popular, thousands of students are visiting countries such as the UK and the US to pursue their education.

This trend is only increasing every year as more and more companies recognize the importance of a foreign degree. Thanks also to the various banks and financial institutions that are now coming forward to offer student educational loans at reasonable interest rates with easy repayment options.

If you’re one of these thousands of students preparing for your study trip, here are a few things to remember before you take off.
1. Apply for your Visa at least 2-3 months before the start of your course as some embassies may take up to 2 months to process your Visa.
2. Before applying for your Visa, double check the terms for a student Visa on the embassy’s website because some embassies insist that you purchase an international student health insurance before you even apply for your Visa
