  • Host Parents Will Not Have to Worry About International Student Insurance for Their Foreign Students

In the United States, many families are requested to volunteer as hosts for foreign exchange students coming from different countries like Germany, Brazil, Austria and China. Host parents will not have to worry about getting these students an international student insurance policy however, because this requirement is already complied with even before the student starts his schooling in the US.

Host families however, are expected to treat the foreign student as if they were a member of the family. These students are to be treated well in order to make their stay and learning experience in the country as educational and as enjoyable as possible.

Student exchange programs are being implemented at different universities in the United States. For instance, in the city of Dallas, many families are requested to be host families for exchange students who will be studying in a particular Catholic school.

For these host families, getting these students international student insurance will not be necessary. They just need to provide shelter, food, moral and emotional support in order for the student to maximize their experience and learning.
