Procrastination can be injurious to financial health
Filed Under: Health Insurance
Buying international student insurance is a great way to mitigate the risk associated with unexpected health emergencies. It is also mandatory to have some minimum insurance coverage in many universities.
Insurance premiums cost more the older you get, as the risk associated is higher. If some unexpected health condition occurs when you are not covered by a policy, that pre-existing condition (and any other issues connected to that) will not be covered when you do buy the insurance later.
Since it is unavoidable (and in many cases mandatory) to have health coverage, it makes sense to buy an international student health insurance as soon as possible. It is better to have coverage and not need it, rather than the other way round. You know it has to be taken. Sooner is better than later.
