As a student studying abroad, you will have many chances to travel to other places on educational tours. If you are pursuing education in a European country, the whole continent invites you to have a rich and varied experience. Every travel enriches your life, and you learn something new wherever you go.

Whether the purpose of the travel is business or pleasure, some preparation and a little care will ensure an enjoyable visit, and a safe return.

  1. Ask your health insurance company if your coverage extends overseas. If it doesn’t, make sure you buy student travel insurance for the duration of travel. Also, learn about how emergency medical evacuation works. Stay covered, travel without worries.
  2. Keep your school or college or some close one informed about your itinerary. Keep the school contact number handy. Also, leave your contact number with the school so that you can be contacted in case of an emergency.
  3. Be very careful about your passport. It has to be handy as well as safe at all times.
  4. Be aware of local laws.
  5. Avoid wearing conspicuous clothing or unnecessarily flashy jewelry. Avoid carrying too much cash. Be aware of safe areas, and avoid venturing alone late at night. The last thing you want is to be a target of crime.

Enjoy your journey. Bon voyage.
